Intelligent Networking R&D Scientist

Company Background
UtopiaCompression Corporation (UC) is involved with developing intelligent routing, topology control and inter-domain routing protocols for the highly dynamic Airborne Network of the future. UC seeks an outstanding candidate for a full-time position for its Intelligent Networking Area.

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will be well versed with MANET routing protocols like Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR), Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV), Temporally-Ordered Routing Algorithm (TORA), Hazy Sighted Link State (HSLS) etc. Exposure to topology control and MAC layer protocols is highly desired. Candidate must be familiar with Network simulation tools like OPNET and QualNet. Experience with networking test-beds and field testing is preferred but not required.

The candidate must be fluent in software analysis, design, and development using C++, MATLAB programming environments as well as in scripting languages like Perl and Python. The candidate is expected to provide subject matter expertise: establish in-depth knowledge and suggest direction for further progress on UC’s intelligent networking technologies. The candidate will actively provide technical assistance and guidance in preparing proposals, reports, and presentations for internal and external sources such as government agencies and business partners.

The candidate must be a US citizen or a US Permanent Resident.

Education
MS or PhD from a reputed school in the area of Computer Networking/ Sensor Networks/ Mobile Ad-hoc Networks/ Embedded Systems.
